Is Poor Self-Esteem Ruining Your Life?
When your self-esteem (the feeling you hold about yourself) is not high you’ll enforce boundaries and limits on yourself. You do this to keep yourself safe. These limits become self-fulfilling and living as a person with low self-esteem is who you think you are and okay for you. You believe the limits are real and act accordingly, thinking you can’t do what you want to do. You become the biggest block to growth in your life. What you want is pushed further away by the one person you need to be on your side. You!
Low self-esteem can be changed. It’s a way of life at the moment, but with the right approach it can be overcome. Once a person learns that the process of thinking and feeling isn’t permanent and can be changed possibilities for having great feelings of self-esteem are a new reality.
The part of you that says you “can’t” is what has been keeping you safe. Say, “Thanks but no thanks” to this part and get help raising your self-esteem. Changing what you think and feel about yourself is very difficult to do alone. The very fact that you have learnt to limit yourself to keep yourself safe is what will sabotage your efforts to be a person with high self-esteem. You need someone to help you gently release the beliefs about yourself that limit your approach to life.
You deserve to live a life without strict limits and boundaries on what you can do. But deserving it is not enough. You must choose it. You must decide that no more are you going to be scared of the things you want to do. No more are you going to convince yourself you don’t want what in your heart you do. No more are you going to convince yourself that it doesn’t matter, that you don’t matter.

Overcome Fear With Archangel Michael

Are You A Worrier?
Here’s what happened in the “Mr Worry” Mr Men book by Roger Hargreaves,
“Poor Mr Worry. Whatever happened, he worried about it. If it rained, he worried that his roof was going to leak.
If it didn’t rain, he worried that all the plants in his garden were going to die.
If he set off shopping, he worried that the shops would be shut when he got there.
And when the shops weren’t shut when he got there, he worried that he was spending too much money shopping.
Life was just one long worry for poor Mr Worry.”
Mr Worry continues to worry throughout the book, including about other people until he meets the wizard. And finally it is the wizard who asks Mr Worry to write down all his worries and the wizard promises to magic them away so that they can never happen. He does just that, and for a short time Mr Worry becomes a new man, a happy man.
Unfortunately, even though the wizard magics away all the worries on his big long list Mr Worry starts to worry again but this time about not having anything to worry about….
So the moral of the story is…
No one can take away the worries of a worrier because if they did they’d find something else to worry about and even if you wrote every possible worry they could have, a worrier will always find something else even it’s worrying about not having anything to worry about…
The truth is the only way to stop focusing on worries is to stop “thinking” them! I know its radical.
So, how is it possible to stop “thinking” your worries?
Well, start by noticing what you have to be grateful for in your life…this shifts your focus onto what’s good or okay.
Next, look in the mirror and notice that you’re here now and you’re okay. And, you’ve always been okay.
These things I’m asking you to do, may seem simple weighed against your complex worries…and that’s where their power is, in being simple.
The important thing to notice about Mr Worry’s story is that his worries didn’t happen! Most people who worry are worrying about things that never happen!
Lastly, give yourself permission to accept life as it is. Know that you can control your response to life, but not what happens. Life happens, period!
Remember, that worrying is a form of prayer…it’s praying from a place of fear for just what you don’t want.
It’s a habit, that’s why Mr Worry finds himself worrying about not having any worries…don’t fall into the trap of worrying out of habit. Break the habit…get help, coaching is one way…do whatever it takes…but break it and allow yourself to be free of its grip.
I know you don’t want to get to the end of your life only to look back at all the worrying you did that never happened…right?
Problems
Today’s affirmation card comes from Dr Wayne Dyer’s “Inner Peace” cards:-
“I work on my problems, and then I release them” – Anything that bothers you is only a problem within. Only you can experience it, and only you can correct it.
There are never solutions open to you when you are staring and reliving the problem. Accept the problem, be here in the now and just let the problem be where it is. Don’t project it into the future with thoughts of…”if”!
Solutions are in the now, in your present and they can be seen and put into action when you let go of the energy of the problem. When you let go of the problem, you allow yourself to be resourceful and options and solutions come to you easily.
You may even find that by letting go, the problem is not a problem afterall or that time passing changes it into something that is no longer a problem for you.
